ABOUT

While in school at the Art Institute of Seattle, he started his journey into production supporting the Cyclops, a state of the art motion control camera system at Pinnacle Studios shooting everything from commercials to feature film visual effects.

Later, he collaborated with another Seattle based motion control specialist to develop dynamic interactive web based product experiences, as well as producing large volumes of high quality imagery for product detail pages. We would work with companies like Nike, Asics, Saucony, Sony, Paramount Pictures, XBox and REI to name a few.

This would later lead to a working opportunity with Amazon, which he was given a project to develop a workflow that would utilize his background in imagery post production processing and coding, to explore a production/post-production pipeline to quickly and easily process high quality images and video for the launch of their new Dress Shop platform.

Throughout his career, he has connected with some local artists like Lynn Shelton, Megan Griffiths, and some PNW regulars including Todd Rohal to help bring their varied projects to the screen, in a variety of capacities.

In 2016, he began exploring the rise of Virtual Reality, working with local filmmakers producing a variety of projects, the first of which was a project titled Ch’aak’ S’aagi (Eagle Bone), which premiered at the Seattle SIFFX, a festival that took over the Seattle Center, including the Laser Dome to exhibit VR content as a traditional cinematic experience. He also delved into bringing cinematic storytelling into VR by writing and directing a 360 horror film experience called Arcadia Flats, which was later published on the Jaunt VR platform. This would eventually lead to an opportunity to work with Paul Allen and his company Vulcan, developing content for their new Virtual Reality platform, The Holodome. In 2019, one of the projects exploring the works of Claude Monet was chosen to be a part of a showcase in TED2019 centered in Vancouver. Today, he lives in Tacoma, continuing to develop science fiction/horror scripts, exploring new ways to bring stories into the world, through cinema, virtual or physical based experiences. Possibly one experience in the future that leverages all three together.
